Patient Management System
HealthMAP is assisting Lakes District Health Board with the establishment of its Patient Management System replacement programme. HealthMAP is preparing an initial scoping and milestone plan for the DHB. Specific outputs of the initial scoping and milestone plan are to clarify the goals, scope, deliverables, capital requirements and potential benefits.  HealthMAP is also producing a plan which includes phasing, timing and a high level process and programme plan.  HealthMAP will ensure that the programme approach is in line with the Ministry of Health’s framework for IS capital investment (developed for the Ministry by HealthMAP).

Service Improvement Project

HealthMAP is also assisting Lakes District Health Board with a three month pilot service improvement project (process redesign) for the Child and Family Unit of the Mental Health Service.  HealthMAP is using the Healix HealthStrategyBase product (Service Improvement Dimension).

The objectives and deliverables of the three month pilot are to:
load all current processes into the HealthStrategyBase Service Improvement Dimension
redesign one process (CAF) using the methodology and toolset (from current state analysis, concept design, detail design to
         implementation planning)
demonstrate the use and potential benefits of the methodology and toolset in relation to process information management, process
         communication and implementation planning.
