Sharen is the HealthStrategyBase (HSB) Product Manager for HealthMAP, responsible for the development, marketing and support of the HealthStrategyBase product from Healix. Sharen has also worked with many clients assisting them with project management, process redesign, QA and systems requirements development. Sharen has been working with HealthMAP since 2003.
Prior to joining HealthMAP, Sharen held senior positions with Jade Direct Australasia in Melbourne, Pacific Health Limited and Eastbay Health Limited. Her roles included Director Implementation, Project Director, Manager Standards (Quality and Risk Management), and Systems Improvement Manager. Sharen's earlier career was as a business analyst in the health, telecommunications and travel industries in New Zealand and Europe .
Sharen is a high performer and is able to motivate others to high levels of performance. She has had broad experience at a senior management level with managing budgets, establishing teams and developing services, methodologies and standards of practice. Sharen is both a conceptual thinker and a sound project manager. Sharen has managed a broad range of projects and is comfortable leading large or small teams of people to achieve a common goal.

- Requirements model development and proof of concept for the Healix Healthphone project
- Project management of the implementation of a quality and risk management framework for Canterbury District Health Board
- Implementation of Metis for ColesMyer Limited in Australia
- Process redesign for Lakes District Health Board, Southland District Health Board and the Mental Health Workforce Development
Sharen has Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Canterbury and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Otago. Sharen has also undertaken a variety of professional development courses including courses in risk management, quality improvement, business process re-engineering, systems analysis and cost-benefit analysis.
